I just turned 44 and it will be a Birthday Celebration to remember. What is so special is none of the activities I did for my Birthday was my idea but the idea of my thoughtful Husband and Daughter. For some reason it makes not planning anything even more special. My Husband took us to “High Tea” at The Brown Palace in Denver, CO. Apparently they have been having tea at the Brown Palace since the 1800’s and continued the tradition til today. Instead of having tea on the 8th floor they have it in the beautiful lobby. The lobby is especially decorated during the Holidays and I heard it is a very popular time to go. Make sure you make reservations.
The tea was delicious and although the small sandwiches and pastries look like they wont fill you up it is very deceiving. They will! Plus they ask you if you want more and it was as if it was unlimited. Maybe it wasn’t and they were just trying to be nice. They even packed up extra food for us to go and they were so friendly about it.
This is also a nice place to take beautiful pictures. Around 15 min away I was taken to the Van Gogh Immersive Museum. This was very different then going to a regular museum. In fact on some days they have Yoga Classes there. Once you go in there are two rooms that have panoramic monitors around and also on the floor. The paintings of Van Gogh are brought to life on a 30 min loop that shows you large and small details of his different works with music. We watched the loop three times. There is nothing to walk through (which I thought there would be). There are only benches and chairs around the two rooms and also white circles on the floor where you can sit. I recommend trying different areas of the room so you can see the museum at different perspectives.
Thanks so much for an amazing birthday!

It helps that I work for a Major Airline but travel all started with my Dad being in the Army and moving around since I was in Elementary School.
